Just like humans, pets can benefit from chiropractic care. This treatment focuses on aligning the spine and joints to improve mobility and reduce pain. Whether your pet has arthritis, reduced range of motion, or general stiffness, veterinary chiropractic care can help them move more comfortably and feel better overall.

Therapy

Animal Chiropractic is a medical therapy that is used to maintain the health and normal functioning of the nervous and musculoskeletal systems. It follows the same principles and practice as chiropractic medicine in people.

In general, chiropractic treatments or adjustments correct subluxations. A subluxation is defined as a partial dislocation of the joints where the articular surfaces are still in contact with each other, but are misaligned. Subluxations commonly occur in the spine secondary to acute injury, over-exertion and chronic orthopedic disease, but can affect other joints as well. Subluxations can cause poor performance, stiffness, pain, decreased flexibility and function of the muscles and nerves.

Veterinary Orthopedic Manipulation

Dr. Gordon is certified in VOM (Veterinary Orthopedic Manipulation) and adjusts pets with the use of an instrument called an "activator". It is a quick, simple and painless way to do a chiropractic adjustment and most pets are not bothered by the procedure.

"We had two cats that were sneezing quite a bit. We saw good reviews for this location which is very near to our home and gave them a try. We are so pleased with our decision. The location is close, the staff is all very friendly and helpful through the process of becoming a new patient as well as showing genuine care for our cats. We arrived for our appointment on time and were placed in a room very quickly. Dr Cruz came in very quickly and took her time examining each pet. The care and thoroughness were fantastic. The room was clean and comfortable and the exam process was so comfortable that the cats weren't even stressed. We had blood panels done for both pets and Dr. Gordon sent us results and commentary the next morning. We had a great experience and will happily be returning to this clinic for any additional care that our pets need."
